The Leaper is a nimble type of infected that rushes both players and survivors with quick pounces and can bypass obstructions easily thus allowing them to kill survivors at an alarming rate unless supervised by the player.

Tips[]
- Shotguns on easy difficulty will kill them instantly, however on harder difficulties it only throws them on their backs allowing the player a few precious seconds to get a survivor to safety or to reload.
- Leapers are fast and will kill survivors before the player has a chance to finish them off so staying close to them would help negate the chances of a dead survivor.
- Gun Sentries work great against them as their unable to fight back while being shot.
